Terms of Use

By using Konquo, you accept these terms. Konquo is published by SEAPALM (SAS with a share capital of €5,000, RCS Dunkerque 978 557 312, registered office: 39 rue Flamandière, 59190 Hazebrouck, France).

Konquo is a gamified running app: you run, you capture hexagonal territories, you progress through an RPG system, you join clubs and you interact with a community of runners.

The app is available on iOS, Android and in a web browser, provided you have an Internet connection.

Running, territory capture, gamification and social features require an account.

Some premium features are reserved for Konquo+ subscribers (see the Terms of Sale).

You can create an account with an email and password, with a phone number (code sent by SMS) or through Google, Apple, Facebook or Discord.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential.

Any activity on your account is presumed to be yours.

You can manage your active sessions from your account settings.

Konquo is available from the age of 13.

Between 13 and 15, signing up requires the authorization of a holder of parental authority, collected by email. Until this authorization is given, the account works in restricted mode and will be suspended if no answer is received within fourteen days.

In restricted mode, the game remains fully available: recording runs, conquering zones, progression and the shop. Community features, however, are disabled, and neither the username nor the profile picture is shown to other players. Once parental authorization is given, and until they turn 15, the user can post, react, comment, follow other players and join a club; their profile stays private, they appear neither in rankings nor in search, and private messaging, club chat and creating a club remain disabled.

From the age of 15, users can sign up without parental authorization, in accordance with article 45 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).

The holder of parental authority can withdraw their authorization or request deletion of the account at any time, from the link received by email.

Konquo uses your device's GPS to record your routes, calculate distance and elevation, and capture hexagonal territories (H3 system).

The quality of the GPS signal is analyzed to check that runs are valid. Runs showing anomalies (excessive speed, invalid signal) may be rejected automatically.

You explicitly consent to the use of your geographic location when you start a run.

Konquo offers a progression system: levels, XP, quests, run streaks and achievements.

You choose an RPG class (Titan, Saboteur, Guardian) with distinct powers fueled by an energy system.

Weekly, monthly and all-time rankings are available.

The virtual economy includes two currencies: Coins (earned in the game) and Gems (premium purchase). These currencies have no real value and can neither be exchanged nor refunded outside the app.

A shop offers cosmetic items, hexagon icons, powers and packs. A gacha system (random draw) is also available.

Konquo lets you publish posts, comment, follow other users, and join or create clubs.

The content you publish remains your property. You grant SEAPALM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license for the technical needs of the service (hosting, display, moderation).

SEAPALM reserves the right to remove any content that breaches these Terms of Use or the law.

You can block a user and report content or a profile from the app. Every report is reviewed by the moderation team.

A feedback system lets you suggest features and report problems, with community votes.

It is prohibited to:

• Falsify GPS data or simulate runs (GPS spoofing)
• Circumvent security measures or exploit vulnerabilities
• Publish unlawful, abusive, violent or discriminatory content
• Overload the services (DDoS, spam), misuse the APIs or automate actions
• Manipulate rankings, votes or point systems
• Create several accounts to get around a sanction

Konquo applies zero tolerance to objectionable content and abusive users: the content is removed and the account may be suspended or banned.

SEAPALM may modify, suspend or withdraw features at any time for technical, legal or security reasons.

The balance of the RPG, the economy, powers and rewards may be adjusted without notice.

Konquo and its elements (code, trademarks, logos, design, game mechanics, mapping) are protected by intellectual property law.

Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution or adaptation is prohibited.

Using Konquo involves processing personal data, including geolocation data. Everything is detailed in our Privacy Policy.

Push and in-app notifications may be sent to inform you of events related to the service (social activity, quests, rankings, updates).

You can set your preferences in the app settings.

SEAPALM implements security measures: TLS encryption, password hashing, token-based session management.

You are responsible for keeping your device up to date and for using a strong password.

Technical connection logs are kept to detect unauthorized access.

You can change your settings, change your email, reset your password and manage your active sessions.

You can delete your account at any time from the settings. Deletion erases your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

SEAPALM may suspend or ban a user in the event of a breach of these Terms of Use, cheating or unlawful behavior.

You can delete your account at any time.

In the event of a ban, active subscriptions do not entitle you to a refund from SEAPALM (see the Apple/Google policies).

The app is provided "as is".

SEAPALM cannot be held liable for indirect damage, data loss, loss of progression or loss of earnings related to the use of Konquo.

You run at your own risk; assess the safety conditions of your surroundings before heading out.
