What it is for
Energy is the only currency that pays for your active powers. Each power costs between 600 and 2,000 points. Without energy, no power can be used, even an unlocked one.
It never regenerates
How to earn it
Only by running. The formula is simple: 5 energy points per kilometre, plus a flat 50 points for every run, plus the hexagon tiers.
Your cap starts at 1,000 points and goes up by 50 with every level. At level 20 you cap out at 2,000 points, which is exactly the cost of the ultimate powers unlocked at that level.
How you lose it
By stepping on an enemy mine. Each triggered mine costs you 100 energy points. A single run cannot trigger more than 4 of them, which caps the loss at 400 points.
Shortcuts from the shop
Only two items touch energy. The Energy Refill fills the bar in one go. The Energy Boost doubles what your runs earn for 24h. Both are bought with coins, so no real money needed.
