Konquo vs INTVLComparisons

Konquo or INTVL?

Two GPS territory games for running and cycling, with two ways of capturing the map.

INTVL and Konquo start from the same idea: every outing wins ground on a real map, and other players can take it back. The difference is mostly in how you capture. On INTVL, you close a loop and everything inside it is yours. On Konquo, every hexagon you pass through becomes yours, so does the inside of a closed loop, and classes change the capture rules.

What INTVL does better

INTVL is public on the App Store and Google Play, with over a million Android downloads: its community is already there, while Konquo's is just starting. It connects to more devices, including the Apple Watch, Garmin and Hammerhead bike computers. Running and cycling are two separate games, so a cyclist cannot wipe out a runner's work. Its real-prize competitions, private lobbies with friends and route planner are genuine strengths that Konquo does not fully match.

What Konquo brings

On Konquo you do not need to close a loop: every hexagon of about 300 m² you pass through is captured, street by street. Four classes genuinely change the rules: the Titan captures one extra ring of hexagons, the Saboteur plants invisible mines along its route, the Scout sees zones within 5 km and spots mines within 500 m, the Guardian makes its hexagons harder to retake. Hiking counts too, anti-cheat filtering checks every GPS track, and both the app and the site are available in French and English.

Konquo vs INTVL

So which one should you pick?

If you want to join a large community right away, use an Apple Watch, a Garmin watch or a Hammerhead bike computer, and enjoy a shot at real prizes, INTVL is a very good choice. If you would rather capture as you go than close loops, with a strategic layer between players, Konquo is built for you.
