The 3 classes
Titan
The capture radius is widened by one hexagon (about 18 m) on each side of the trace. You take more ground with every stride.
Saboteur
Every run drops invisible mines along your trace, and they stay armed for 48h.
Guardian
A one in two chance of making each captured hexagon resistant: it will take two passes to take it from you.
How many mines does a Saboteur drop?
The number is not random, contrary to what you often read: it depends only on the distance covered. It is the POSITIONS of the mines that are drawn at random along your trace.

Each mine blows up within a radius of about 37 m. An opponent who walks into it loses 100 energy points, hands you the hexagons they had just captured inside the radius, and suffers a 24h weakening.
The 8 active powers
Each class has one basic power, available early, and one ultimate power unlocked at level 20. All of them are paid for with energy.

Placing a bomb or a mine
Some powers are placed on the map. The screen then switches to aiming mode: everything else fades away, you tap the map or drag the marker to pick the spot, then confirm. You can only aim within 1 km of your position or of a point of interest you own.
